STD  II  had their General Assembly on 12th  morning and children from all sections assembled with  their respective class teachers.  Mrs.Sreelatha.S  conducted the assembly. Children from all sections participated during the assembly by sharing many unknown facts. Class II D started off with the thought for the day read out by  Divyadarshini.

The news was read out by Lakshana.S and this was followed by fact file. Children from all sections came out with lot of amazing facts about  animals  and was an interesting session.  The following are some of the facts shared during the assembly.

·         The Platypus is the only mammal that lay eggs.

·         Pandas are good acrobats.

·         Armadillo’s are the only animal besides human that get the disease leprosy.

·         Chimpanzees are very intelligent and have the ability to recognize themselves in mirrors.

·         The animal that has highest blood  pressure is giraffe .

·         Grasshoppers jump upto 8 m.

·         Flying squirrel is a mammal. They have loose pieces of skin on either side of its body. When it jumps, it opens them out like a parachute and can glide for 100 m , steering with its tail and legs.

General Assembly by the Students of Std 1

 The General Assembly for Class I was conducted on Thursday, 4th August2010.The topic was  recitation.3 children from each section recited  the rhyme with great clarity and confidence.

In all it was a very interesting General Assembly put up by the students of Std 1 for their classmates.

General Assembly for classes III, IV and V kick started with the story telling competition.

Preliminary round was held in the respective classes to give an oppurtunity to all the students. Best 3 from each section participated in the final round. The winners list is put up on the Prize Winners link.
